Here's a manip i made to practice a tutorial here on heromorph, I really need feedback on how to make this image better, hope to here from my fellow heromorphers...

The red is very bright and rather flat -- you'd benefit from playing around with Brightness/Contrast to make it subtler and more varied. And your edges are a bit messy. There's a number of spots where there's either bits of skin showing at the edge of the figure or where the costume bleeds into the background. If you're not already using it, I recommend learning the pen tool (aka paths). It's a bit complex to figure out, but allows for very nice, clean selections.

I agree with what the other two have said on this. Red, black, and white are very hard colors to get right. And this is a bright red. If you made a seletion of all the red and then went into the "Hue/Saturation" filter under the "image" menu item in Photoshop, you could clean this red up in a jiffy. Keep it up!!! And Nice work!

In addition to what billy said: The star on the arm needs to be lightened a little on the left, and/or seams to bring it out,as it is,it is flat compared to the rest of the image. The straps on the shoes are throwing me. Maybe create shoes or clean up the straps?

lurks in arcades (moderator) Joined: 2004/5/10 From: Asheville, North Carolina, USA Posts: 362	Re: Another Shot At It... good job, bud! i like this, but i feel like you want me to nitpick, so i will, just a little....to me, the colors are a tad too bright, so i would play with the brightness/contrast a bit...and be careful to clean up the image...watch to see if your colors bleed over to the background(like her back glove). remember to add your seams, and seperation shadows(like between her legs, and between her back and the arm behind her) then, i think you'll be golden, man! but all in all, this is a great mannip! keep up the good work!
