After tinkering around for a month making a several scenery props for a vampire scene, posing and creating two separate full scenes... I nixed the whole project and went with this.
Inspired by the likes of Julie Bell and Boris Valejo...though I be nowhere NEAR as talented...

Vampy is V5 from Daz.
Also from Daz are the candlesticks and holders, care of:
Lynette's Dark Rites
and the big bat: Silverkey3D Bat
The penta-candles from renderosity:
DM's Chronicles
And the bat brushes made by SHA...find her on DeviantArt...

Skull is mine, seriously...I ripped it right outta my head for this...naw, I made it in Modo as part of the vamp scene I started. (Perhaps I'll post it in the HFC...)
Same with Vamp's outfit and "accoutrements," which is French for "accoutrements."
Lots and lots of photoshop for the postwork. (lighting, candle flames, smoke, skin re-painting, atmosphere, moon, etc.)

Vampirella is not mine. She belongs to Dynamite Entertainment currently, but has had several "brokers" since her appearance in 1969.
'nuff said...

i kept passing this thumbnail by..problly because the because the composition [empty space] was turning me off. then i actually saw who posted it so i decided it might be in my best interest to click on it. needless to say i wasn't disappointed. your V5 Vampy while not as sexually alluring as your V4 version from http://heromorph.com/heromorph2/modules/myalbum4/photo.php?lid=15464 she is far more beautiful. great job.

 Re: Vampirella Bats
Thanks for all the comments. I always likes me a little Vampirella...probably my favorite subject to model.

Interesting note on the empty space, too, B. I had many thoughts about this along the way, including Dracula rising center screen behind Vamps in spirit form, or a few Brides of the dark one crawling out of the darkness to get her...I opted away from those as I thought it would conflict with her calm, relaxed pose and expression. But I can see how the black space is curious. Perhaps a far off mountain range for a horizon to blend into the sky...

Anyway, thanks again for lookin' and I appreciate the feedback, too. (Helps me grow, learn, and appreciate the little things other artists do.)

--Geez, I used a lot of words to say "THANKS"
sometimes I talk too much.

WOW. There's perhaps a shade too much empty space (I'd personally pull down the sky/bats/moon a bit), but this is a masterclass in every aspect of 3D artwork... The modeling, the lighting, the composition, the poses, the effects... all top notch. Gorgeous work!
