Pantanal, Brazil - Talon was so enthralled about his first round victory over Badger, the assassin he himself had been created to mimic, that any kill he made after would pale by comparison. He wasn't sure how much he believed that Bloodbath was an actual vampire or if he even cared...he knew he could kill him. To Bloodbath, this snarling beast that swayed before him in the swamp was just another animal he needed to put down, like he had done to so many lycans centuries ago. The two combatants are so caught up in each other that they fail to notice the viewer in the shadows of the trees. Now the question is...is he here to help one of them or waiting on the winner?

The real question is, did Red-Eyes bring any popcorn?

I agree that this isn't the strongest of these. The composition's comparitively static and (even with the addition of the snake and skull) a bit empty, especially in the middle. Plus Pij is right about the textures. Still a solid, moody piece though. I quite like Bloodbath's stately posture.

I really like the layout a great deal. Characters, poses, lighting... all top notch stuff. It's a great scene and it's very well done although the part standing out to me would be the textures... the trees, roots and skull don't quite have textures that rise to the level of the rest (and made more noticeable by closeness to camera). Still the characters and action and suspense are what sells these you've really got that in great numbers here.

a very valid observation and one in the past i never considered much. truth be told the addition of the snake and skull were a last minute add to eliminate the negative space at the bottom of the image. this is not one of my better images from this series. there are several flaws that stick out like a sour thumb. but i do appreciate the view and comment.

I like this a lot.

I think on a personal level,I would liked to see some camera focus effects, like blurring out the snake a little to bring the warriors up to the focus of the viewer eyes. To me, with everything in focus it become a little distracting.
