Gotta be specific, you know. DC has had many characters to go by that name.

Archie Goodwin and Walt Simonson's Manhunter had the most humble of status at DC. Never had it's own title, ran as an 8 page backup in one of Batman's several titles (Detective) for 6 episodes before concluding in a full length Batman teamup story. It ran for 7 chapters between '73 and '74 and yet managed to pull in 6 major awards in that time.  It certainly fueled my youthful enthusiasm when I'd first read it. Simonson's art was unlike anyone I'd seen doing superheroes at that time, stylish and brilliantly laid out too and Goodwin's script also seemed better than anything DC or Marvel had going at the time.
So to one of my greatest comic inspirations,  a tribute I'd wanted to do for a while... the one I'd sworn was impossible to do in 3D but just to prove I'm an idiot who doesn't know what he's talking about, I did it anyway! So here he is, facing off against an army of his clones once again.

Stonemason's Village Courtyard
Daz Supersuit
M4 Hardcore Boots
Genesis Journeyer Scout Boots
Rievel Hair
Firearm Pack

I can't remember exactly where I found the Mauser pistol... it was a freebie in sketchup format.
Bracers, belts, leg braces, shuriken made in Hexagon.
Shirt sleeves made in Hexagon, converted to dynamic cloth in Poser then exported back to Daz.

*update: Someone elsewhere told me they were loosing the shuriken in the clone shirt shadows so I adjusted it's location and upped the brightness and contrast a little.

Thanks bud! So this is the set I picked up at that sale at Daz I was talking about! The big thing for me here was FINALLY figuring out dynamic cloth but I learned a few new things in Hexagon along the way.
Nooo I've been to cowardly to really test my new(ish) PC's power, things seem to grow noticeably more sluggish by the time I add a 3rd character so that's what I went with, a 3 pic composite; 1 for the front two and two groupings of 3 for background clones.
BTW, I scanned the 1st chapter for a friend to take a look at so if anyone else who hasn't read it is interested, send me a PM.

This is wayy cool. Eventhough the Manhunter was never one of my favorite characters [I never could get past the overdone cumbersome costume] but I do remember this episode. I think you've done a great job as usual of shedding light on those typically obscure unknowns and if you managed to do all these characters in one render I truly bow down to you.

Oh the heck with it! I'll bow anyways!
