Re: Reinforcements Excellent questions, StarChild! I love wandering through the ol' comic collection every now and again...and came across this one, the inspiration for the project. (It's from 1987, tht's why Marvel Gal has the high style hair...I shoulda given banshee a mullet, too, eh?) As for the sentinels, well, my meager attempt was to portray them on all sides of the team...the reflected ones are in the foreground over the destruction they have already caused. I toyed with the idea of "framing" the pic with huge sentinel backsides moving toward the group, but couldn't get the composition right. Good point though...they do kinda look like they're teaming up with the big uglies, don't they? Thanks for the tips! And thanks for lookin'!

Re: Reinforcements always nice to see a full blown X-Men image [although I am rather curious about exactly what stage in the history of the team would allow for this particular combination of members in combat with Sentinels?] always nice to see Sunfire, Storm and i have always been a fan of Marvel Girl. I think it would have been better to have shown a group of Sentinels facing the X-men in the reflection of the downed Sentinel head instead of the appearance that the Sentinels and the X-men are flying towards some common foe. I know its a minute nit but it kinda jumps out at me.
BTW. Pijon Banshee's hair has been and always was red although be it a lighter shade of red.

Re: Reinforcements You managed to make it both an action pic and a group portrait at the same time!

Re: Reinforcements Holy Hair Dont's! Good eyes, pijon. Not since the long absent co_04 has anyone noticed small details like that. Very keen. And accurate, too! I usually try to get at least 3 reference pics from different artists for each character/costume I do. In this case, I shoulda gone straight to Marvel. Cassidy's Quaff is listed there as "Reddish-Blond," but my reference pics had it as more orange, so I swayed to the red side. My bad. Colossus, however, was deliberate. I originally had a metallic mass draped on his dome, but I thought it took away from the shine of his "skin" so I softened it. Still, great eyes for detail! Thanks for looking , folks!

Re: Reinforcements WOW! I'm always blown away by the sheer volume and high quality of your work but you've really outdone yourself this time. First off, rather than just great characters, you've gone full blown action scene here and it works in a huge way! Every character looks terrific (although Banshee's blond and Colossus has solid hair) and the effects are remarkably good! Excellent work on the prop modeling!! The reflection mapping was a great touch too! Awesome!!!

Re: Reinforcements Actually, I'm working on putting a file together with a lot of props to upload to the Download Central here. My external drive, on which all of them are stored, has recently become..."power challenged," but as soon as the new adapter cable arrives in the mail, I'll be able to get the files freed up so I can get them out to ya. It's mostly a bunch of masks, helmets, and weapons...and all are in prop form (I ain't learned how to add morphs yet...) But I'll get it ready as soon as I can.
