Nifty plot twisting!

As for the anatomical anomaly...who can say that the wood blade wasn't big enough to pierce the heart even at an obscure angle? I never even questioned it, and I'm a stickler for details.

So I wouldn't at all say "monumental." And BTW...the effects are great, too!

You know you're not going to let go of such a great character so easily! Speaking of which... huh? what? Edge is still alive?! The twists continue. Great to see you doing comic pages again! You're very good at it so I always enjoy seeing you do those most of all. Great job on these!

now before anyone mentions it..yes i can see the monumental gaff i made. the spear should be stabbing the other side of Bloodbath's chest in order to strike his heart. i suppose i was worried too much about the effects i was gonna add in PS and didn't think about the initial render. so crucify me already. but whose to say this wan't done on purpose to assure Bloodbath's return later? huh? no? well i gave it a shot.
