No real story in mind here, though I can think of a half dozen reasons Jenn might want to punch Stark :P. This was my first completed render in Iray and I wanted to use She-Hulk's Suit and Ironman's armor to show off Iray Shaders. She-Hulk suit has the rubber shaders (white is matte and purple shin), the zipper is a brushed metal. Iron-Man I use the gold Shader and modified it to suit the look I wanted more, similarly I used the car pain with small flecks and modified the color scheme, the silvery metal bits are the platinum shader and of course his glowy bits are the emissive shader re colored with various tweaks to the light intensity. I have to Say the Emissive shader is my favorite simply because it acts as a light source ^_^

mutant Joined: 2010/4/12 From: Oa Posts: 102	Re: She-Hulk Slugs Iron Man if you look at his armor like in the movies, its not all polished metal, infact he applies "car" paint to it, so that is what I did I gave it a car paint finish, granted it wasn't exactly what I had in mind , but Iray is a whole new render engine and shader system so this was my first. Trying to teach yourself something with no tutorials is largely trial and error :P

While i think this is a good render..I think you could have done so much more with it. I'm immediately drawn to Ironman's faceplate [which looks great) and am left to wonder why you didn't apply the same shader to his entire body. Its almost as if he only polished that one part.

mutant Joined: 2010/4/12 From: Oa Posts: 102	Re: She-Hulk Slugs Iron Man it actually shows on his faceplate some over the right eye, but I get your meaning as fas as more clearly see it... the one thing with 3d that can be a bit rough at times is you can't dictate how a reflection shows up like in a drawing. You are some what at the mercy of the shape of the item and the lighting (obviously you can change the lighting up). That Said I have this scene saved, so maybe one of these nights before I head to bed I add a camera at a different angle and set it to render ^_^
