WOW! That's a heck of a painting to take on and great job on applying to the challenge. Terrific work on characters, scene and style. Outstanding!

Very nice. You've done a nice job duplicating the original even the lighting is similar. Good choice of characters

Nice! I love Goya's work, albeit mostly his (much later, though thematically similar) black paintings. This is a very good and appropriate choice of homage, and very well done to boot.

The characters are all nicely modeled and look convincingly insane. Maybe not quite as psychotic as in the original, but really, who could possibly match THAT? I can understand if you're not satisfied with them, but I think they work just fine.

(For the texture, BTW, I suspect you'd be better off overlaying a good grunge/cracked texture than playing around with filters -- those end up waaaay too regular, IMO.)

Re: Period Piece: "Corral de locos"
I keep giving myself headaches trying to duplicate the oil-on-tinplate style, so I'm stopping before I drive myself to the loony bin.

Rendered in Daz, re-painted in Photoshop with a very small brush, then applied filters (Paint Daubs, Angled strokes, and 3 different texturizer settings...then adjusted saturation, colorization, and layers settings before re-repainting shadows and dust specks...then added the main light layer as a color dodged and blurred layer...

Long story short--still not happy with the likeness...so I stopped there.

Anywho...
I swiped characters from all of the Bat's various incarnations for this.

From left to right, they are:
Dr. Harleen Frances Quinzel (video game versions)
Oswald Chesterfield Cobblepot (More along the classic Comic line)
Joker (Comic book more so than any other)
Dr. Pamela Lillian Isley (mix of Arkham Asylum and Comic style)
Duela Dent (Comic Book)
Professor Hugo Strange (background - Arkham City/Comic book
Kyodai Ken (foreground - Batman: the Animated Series)
Victor Zsasz (foreground - Arkham Asylum/City)
Harvey Dent (background - All media)
Jervis Tetch (Batman 1966 live action)
Arnold Wesker and Scarface (the Batman)
Natalia Knight (Detective Comics)
Bruno (Frank Miller's "The Dark Knight")
