Almost in the beginning of my World Tour in Comics, I made this character for Israel:

Never really liked how it came out. Mostly due to my own fault, just a few weeks after started doing manips... But the fact remain that I really don't like many of my early images... and this one was no exception!

No matter, not that I'm good this days but I like to think that I improved a tiny bit since those early days.

Lately I've been republishing my World Tour in Comics at my new blog and thought, why not redo some of the ones I don't like?

So... Here is again, presenting for Israel: Uri-On (apparently, it writes both ways: Uri-On and Uri Oan), created by Michael Netzer.

Yeah, looks like we both are drawing inspiration from redoing our own old stuff.
I have a few more WTiC images I'm currently reworking... or with some characters, replacing them.

Can't say when I'll post them, tho... I'm still on Jr mode.

Awesome! Perhaps you and I should just make reworking our older pieces the challenge for the rest of the year since I think we both have a couple under belt our already!
I always loved your world tour series which has been quite the education for me. I would say the improvement here is vast and quite significant. You've really picked up a lot of tricks over the years.
Holy crap! I didn't realize this was Netzer's character! I can clearly see that Neal Adams influence which was house style for Adam's Continuity studios artists. Jeez, I still remember us talking about the Mike Netzer vs. Neal Adams dispute in the forum.
Anyway, the character looks great, the background is well chosen and the balloon logo was a nice touch. Well done.
