Last Friday I posted a first version of this image.  The one that I sent over had a lot of problems, too numerous to list here.  This version is a bit better I think.  And I stand corrected, the character's name is Komand'r, otherwise known as Blackfire.  This version of Blackfire is based on the Contemporary Teen Titan action figure redesign (see inset image of action figure).

Using a toy, cool, it's better then images, the only problem the toys tend to have slight differences... This is very well done...

One thing you may want to try when doing black, well it works for me....instead of making the item solid black, go a few shades lighter, that way when you go for the highlights you can get it to look darker if needed. it is easier to get something to look black than to make black light....if that makes since...

Sorry I had no idea you were working from a toy image as as a model for this?
Toys are a funny thing cause they don't always follow the original idea of a character!

Thanks for the suggestions. You are right black is hard to work with. I'll probably revisit this project after I forget about it a while...

Hope you go ahead with what you planned, I would love to see your idea of what to do with her.

 Re: Blackfire (Reworked)
Figures I find that same toy to base a design on and end up being a day late and dollar short lol. good work, though. on her right arm you may want to adjust the lighting just a hint to make the forarm look normal? Black is very tricky to work with as it is. maybe just a touch more of a lighting effect on her left leg?
