This is my first scene, I am pretty happy with the results;
I think it turned out pretty good.
Based loosely on the events that happened towards the end of the Keith Giffin and DeMatties's run on the Justice League, in a multiple issue story arch called "breakdowns" in 1991-1992. Personally, that was my favourite run on the Justice League.
See comments for a description in to the making of.

You know what would be cool, do a part 2, where Winterhawk comes in and saves the day.
Have you ever done your namesake in a manip?

That's a lot of good work there, I wouldn't even think of doing something so complex. Great effort man.

I recognise Dagger on the right billboard but who are the other 2?
Was Red Bull around in 92...

Boy, that billboard is outstanding, no doubt about it!

Having been priviledged to watch this ensemble being assembled, I gotta say it's even more impressive. The billboard on the right deserves special attention. Anything seem familiar about those pretties? It's a puzzle...

I do have one caveat: I think Booster Gold and Ice need more wrinkles on their suits.
*Ouch!*
*Hey!*
*Quit it!*
*Ok, ok, Jeez...*

Ok so here is the making of:
Fire: She is a 2-part Frankensteined base model. The top section of her body is Sylvia saint and the bottom half is a gymnastics girl. I created the flame by using the Eye candy fire filter and a variation on this tutorial ( http://www.photoshoptechniques.com/texp/fireptk.php ) The fire blast was made using the same techniques.
Booster gold: Another 2 part Frankenstein top half and bottom half both from the same model and picture but repositioned for a suitable pose.
Ice: Standard manip nothing fancy.
Blue beetle: Standard manip again nothing fancy.
Martian Manhunter: A 2-part frank, just an arm repositioning actually, then standard maniping.
Despero: An 8 part Frankenstein monster. With effects out the wazzoo, it was fun setting him on fire and freezing him as well.
Energy effects: mostly multiple layers with various blending and opacity settings.
Background: A lot of work, I cracked the cement, added the crater, changed some signs and billboards, added in the rubble pile and debris. And More.
That????????s the quick run down.
Hope you enjoy!
