Check your JPEG compression settings.

When you save a file to the JPEG format from any software package, the file information is compressed to create a smaller file. The compression factor can produce artifacts (unwanted image problems) that can appear as halos or color leakage beyond the edges of objects, checkerboard problems on smooth backgrounds, or blocky-looking areas in an image. My guess is that you are getting jpeg artifacts when you save.

Most image editing programs have options like "standard", "progressive" and "lossless". The first two have compression settings that range from low compression (best quality) and high compression (lowest quality). Lossless compression retains all of the original image data and reduces the file size by storing patterns of pixels in the image.

Experiment with your software and see what happens between saves. Keep different versions of your image so as to be able to compare them with various settings.

Unfortunate, I have to disagree. I have yet to have any resolution problems here at HM. It might be how you are optimizing them... Or the DPI at which you are posting these images. Fill me in on how you do your work... I.e. Working Resolution... Image size (Physical size-8x11...etc)... DPI (150dpi-72dpi)... And how you save them out. There is something going on between ???????save??????? and Heromorph.

Now with that said...
I love that costume... The image is tip top. (I won????????t say anything about the resolution. ) Your cloth work is superb! the background is perfect for this image. At least in my opinion...
I personally would like to see a little more work on the boots. Maybe a few creases or some seams... But other than that---> Great Job!

OK first of all you need to chill out! Second of all I dont think its a problem for the mods to sort out as you seem to be the only person having this trouble, it seems to me the problem might be at your end. What program do you use to manip with? If its photoshop try using the save for web feature which will give you a preview of how the image will look once it has been compressed into a jpeg or gif or whatever. hope this helps.

OK, this is really getting on my nerves. Every piece I post on here gets some kind of resolution comment, and they all look great on my computers. But, for some reason, after I post them here, they all look distorted, and less clear than when I finished them. I am not sure what program Heromorph is using to display these pictures, but the clarity and resolution is destroyed because of it. I spent alot of time on details you cant even see on this particular picture, and I am very upset. Moderators, please fix this display problem. Thank you.
