My entry for the January Challenge. I got this idea
after seeing the movie "The League of Extrordinary
Gentlemen" a while back: What if some of the JLA
were around in Victorian England? So, here's Aquaman as a Captain Nemo- type, complete with
Nautilus-like sub. Note the hand- I used a cutlass
instead of a hook. Let me know what you think!

S.A.M. ... OK, this is awesome! BUT... sorry, there is a 'But' (and it isn't me... ) Your ship... I guess the Nautilus... It is just too... well, too choppy. The bridge is kinda sharp... your man of the Aqua culture is sharp... and your ship is choppy. Oh well, it is still a cool image! One other thing... since he can breathe under water does his sub go under... then fill with water?

But your Aquaman is Great... good job on him...

Great Idea, you could have Batman as Sherlock Holmes, Superman as Huck Finn and more. I think the picture is very good, maybe you could try a sepia or black&white effect for a old photo quality.

Kewl! This would make a great Elseworlds concept. Maybe you should send this to D.C.

This definitely could be the springboard for an interesting ELSEWORLDS graphic novel. (And by posting it here, in case DC does decide to do something like this without telling you, you can point them to this page and go "Make the check out to--"!)

I like the sabre replacing the hook. To my eye, it appears the sabre plugs into the gold prosthetic, making it posible for Captain Curry to plug in other implements as needed. Makes sense, otherwise going to the W.C. would be an Adventure Into Danger!

Excellent concept! This I would've bought if it was made into a comicbook.
