Following The Dark Knight and The Man of Steel film sequel titles, it seems only appropriate that my second Wonder Woman design be titled The Amazon Princess.  Cobie Smulders is the model again, really couldn't be bothered finding new images for someone else so I just used what I had of her.  Figured it would be easier to just start from scratch instead of trying to alter the previous one.  Whilst I'm fine with how the first turned out, I tried to be a little more faithful to the comic design, whilst still giving it my own twist, giving her some cool patterns and texture and a mix of leather and armour.  Went through several variations on the skirt and the footwear, the only thing that didn't change from start to finish was the tiara.  The belt I gave some cool Greek patterns and some icons representing the Gods and the breastplate I gave more of a bronze look.  Really glad with how this turned out.

I heard that Whedon wanted Cobie but I was never sure if he was joking or not, that casting choice always been in the back of my mind, I'd have had no problem with it if she was selected, although some people seem to not like her.

Was never sure about her in this role but you've proved it works!

There's this picture she did that kinda reminds me of Diana Prince:-

Cobie Smulders was Almost Wonder Woman!
Thursday, March 22nd, 2007

The big buzz around the fanboy water cooler is that before he left the Wonder Woman project, ?Buffy? dude Joss Whedon was set on making Cobie Smulders his Amazonian asskicker. For those who don?t know, Cobie Smulders is one of the stars of CBS? ?How I Met Your Mother? ? she?s the one who plays the ex-Canadian. No word on whether Cobie Smulders would remain Wonder Woman now that Whedon is off the project, but according to the same rumors, Joel Silver, the film?s producer, also liked Whedon?s choice of Smulders. Then again, it could all be crap, as by now I don?t think Wonder Woman will ever make it to the big screen.

Well, I'm going to buck the trend and say I like the shoulder straps. If this outfit is meant to be something that could be worn into battle, having it be strapless is pretty impractical. I love that you've made her thicker and more Amazonier(???) than she's usually pictured, but still quite beautiful. Another great pic Josh. Sure hope there's a Marvel series coming at some point...

Very cool job. I like the realistic take on her costume, making it look more Greek than 'American', but they'll probably go with her traditional look for the movie, if they ever make it.

I agree with Android here. J's work is easily some of the most realistic I've ever seen.

Gorgeous work, Mr. J!
Perfect costume!

Isn't it great when a high skilled person does such spetacular piece of art?
When we do a super-hero photomanip, that means we are trying to get it real. Mr. J does what we should.

Congratulations, sir.

Very great work. I like this a lot. And I do agree with the removal of the sholder straps. But very nice!

Amazing work indeed, although personally I'd remove the shoulder straps. Otherwise this is perhaps the perfect "realistic" version of the character to date.
