The final figure for my Generation X manip, Penance has actually come together pretty quickly - it took about three or four hours to complete this image. The costume was maniped from various straitjacket pics, with an unnamed model providing the basic catsuit.

Penance's "actress" is Mila Jovovich. The hair started ut as dreadlocks and I created the spins using Photoshop's liquidize tool.

I'm pretty pleased with the end result - I think the hair's an improvement over the previous Penance figure I did.

Nice work
Even a real world black leather suit can be off a bit in the hue department, depends on the original leather stock and the dye lot.

I like the pink spike, have you condsiderd using that color as a soft glow for high lights?

The costume is put together beautifully, though the colours of it don't quite match...

Yeah, I'll try and fix that on the group shot. Looked okay in photoshop but displays differently as a web image.

Nitpick: the pink spike. Why's that one a totally different colour from the rest?

Just the way it worked when I adjuested the hue of the original pic. I kinda liked the slight variation, but it may be a bit too much of a difference.

Oh, and shouldn't Penny be shinier? I never saw her skin as being so matte. Still, awesome pic.

Hmm, I guess she could be, but I didn't want to make her look like plastic. ;)

Thanks for all the kind comments guys. I've a few tweaks to make to individual images before submitting the final group shot. Should be coming soon though...

Damn, AP! This rocks.

I think Mila is a great choice for Penance.

A 10 from me.

Awesome! You're one of the best frankensteiners in the photomanipping world, and this is but one more bit of proof of that fact! Great pic. The costume is put together beautifully, though the colours of it don't quite match... great work. I love the pose of the character too... and the butterfly, very nice touch. Great job also on the spikes and claws.

Nitpick: the pink spike. Why's that one a totally different colour from the rest?
