That stupid chrome filter is a little tricky bastadge... you need to make sure to really dodge and burn and rub those boobs good to get the non-warped effect. I said "Boobs... and Rub"... boy, this potty brained group didn't even make it to the end of that last sentence! Or is that just me.

Anyway...

I have found that you get a better chrome effect if the clothes (Aka: her top) are not on their own layer... meaning... If you work on the clothes on their own separate layer, then flatten them to the model... apply the filter, then remove the clothes again. (save a selection of the clothes so you can cut and paste them on to their own layer) Then apply your blending modes and so forth. Get it? I have found that it (Chrome Filter) is much more subtle if you do the whole image instead of just a selection.

Have to agree on the metal. in paint shop I have a warp tool ( not sure if you have one or somethig like it in Photo Shop, but you can use that along with the filter in eyecandy "chrome" and use the warp tool or brush to give it a natural bend. and then use something to change it to the color you need ( if not set it up in eyecandy to start with) just my two cents but still great work.

Daruma - I tried something new with the metal on this one. After removing her Bra and Panties, I masked out her where I wanted the gold suit to be. I they increased the contrast and used the method shown in Optical's tutorial. After that I duplicated the metal layer and ran the crome filter on it. I then took this chrome layer and set it to 50% opacity and set the blending mode to overlay.

Bikerbot - BB, I cant believe you dont know this Model. She is my favorite model and I use her as Much as I can, it is Adrianna Lima. I have used her before in my pic's of Poison Ivy, Both my Mary Marvels.

Everyones picking on the metal, I have to agree.. but I know your trying to clear your plate.
The metal effect is the only thing lacking in the pic. Its high rez, cool paintjob, model, background and forground snow effect.

I like curves and plastic wrap (and to some degree chrome).. I'm still learning, but since it was you who sent me on metal homework assignment.. can we compaire notes?

Adriana Lima is a great chioce for any picture.

It seems that too much attention was placed on the surronding items (snow and background) and not too much on the outfit. Gold tones and highlights do not match each other. I wouldn't call this a rush job cause Im sure it takes time but just a little more attention to detail.

Still a good picture.

The metal looks like plastic wrap over curves.
Looks like a bit of a rush job though, WH. The mask and cape are good but the metal looks a bit like generic filters without a lot of detail.

Optical - I'll go back to staring at her cleavage now....

Nice work, as always. The metal looks to me like curves... a la Optical's tutorial... Am I right? I forget what Jr's technique for metal is, maybe that's what you did. Either way, it looks good. The highlights and shadows are just a bit too random to look entirely realistic... particularly the midsection with the two dark areas at the edges and the huge bright area in the middle... but that's curves for you. It's still good work. Nice mask, nice (if slightly blurry) cape. Not your best (that's still Catwoman), but good.

Nice and big, just the way I like 'em!-er, my Manips, that is.

Not familiar with the character, but a very nice pic. I'm thinking of trying metal in my next pic, so I'm curious about that. Did you use the plastic wrap filter? I know there's a tutorial here somewhere, I guess I should go read it.
