Re: Superhero Smackdown Round 1 - Mary This manip is hot! Evrything from the seams around her wrists, to the texture on her suit, to the well done dispalced lighning bolt. A++! BTW: I've tried using the tut on displacing from this site ( the one with Tyfoid Mary). But for some reason, no matter how many times I try to follow the directions ( this tut IS a bit confusing AND uses an older version of Photoshop) my displacements dont come out well. Any suggestions? This is basically how I do it: 1) open a pic of a woman 2) cut out her background to isolate just the model 3) select her and copy her 4) open a new document and paste her there 5) save that document as a .psd file (to be used as the displacement map 6) close that document 7) open a superman "S" pic, cut that out, copy and paste into my model's document (on a new layer, ofcourse 8) then select the "S" layer, go to filter, Distort, Displace, and choose the model Displacement document as the map and click ok.
So, where did i go wrong? Cus it never comes out right.
