This is a sketch that I intend on coloring, but I thought I'd give you guys a sneak preview. The pic pretty much speaks for itself: Clark Kent is coming out of superspeed in sight of either a friend or a foe. I tried to put a little bit of resemblance of Tom Welling in the face but more along the lines of a comic book rendition of the actor. Originally it was going to be on Loeb Bridge but the sketch didn't work out. Etched on 9 x 12 with 6H to HB leads. Late.
I can see where this is going and great work, but I have to agree with Justin on the spark beside his knee, Yes I know it is accenting movment behind him, but it looks like he is coming to a hault so fast that he just threw his knee out.

Re: "Before he was Superman..."
First of all it's the hair that makes him look like Jackie Chan. I realize that. I just didn't feel that smoothing the hair would not fit in the overall composite sketch. He's in the wind and he's stopping. That's why the hair's standing up. But let me assure you people that it is NOT Jackie Chan.
Interesting rough style. There is a spark near his right knee. It make it look like he broke his knee. It is a little hard to see the ground. And I agree that it look like Jackie Chan from the Jackie Chan Cartoon.
