 Re: Ramstar53's Power Girl
Well, I'll tell ya... When it comes to progs for artwork, I'm not the best one to talk to. I'm stuck with photoshop 6.0 at the moment. I'm trying to get my company to upgrade my computers. I'm working a MAC G3 with OS 8.6 So, you KNOW I need to upgrade. They want me to do more stuff, but without the updated OS I can't do anything and the computer is archival at best anymore. So, I'm trying to get a G5 and laptop with Xternal HDD's and a Cintique Doubt all that'll happen tho.

Anyways, The program I use for all the work you've see thus far, inking wise... is Adobe Illustrator. And, in Illustrator I have two methods of inking. This one, is with the calligraphy brush tool and a wacom tablet. Just practicing with pressure and the line weights... in time you become fairly awesome at it. Little longer to work on a piece if you're doing seqentials, but the work itself rocks.

I am trying to get Painter 9 for my updated inventory when I get a chance. Either that or the Alias Sketchbook Pro.
Thanks a lot guys and gals!

There's some stuff over there that I couldn't even think of where to start to post here lol.

Later and I'll work up a tutorial in short time.

I have to agree with Supreme, that is how Power Girl is supposed to look. It would be nice to have a tutorial on your inking style.

Like the bouncin' blue eyed Benjy Grimm would say "There's a healthy girl!" Now that is what Power Girl is supposed to look like! Excellent job, Alpha! BTW, how do you do digital inks? Sounds like something I'd like to try with my work.

Yes I want a digital inking lesson too. I use Paint Shop Pro because I'm too stupid to learn Photoshop. But I have never been happy or satisfied with my method of inking.

 Re: Ramstar53's Power Girl
Thanks you two! I've been working out a tutorial for my version of ditital inking for a bit now. My instructions so far, make the adobe photoshop manual look like an easy to follow book.

You'll laugh when you hear what I use and how to do it as well.

I'll get to work on that and see if I can't get something for screen captures.
Thanks for the compliments and for the tutorial invite!

Very well done!!! Ever thought of doing a tutorial on digital inks? We have a nice tutorial section here where it would fit nicely.
