As those who have been following these posts know, I have been uncovering vintage issues of the HeroMorph Comics imprint from the 1970's. As a change of pace, I found this cover from about 2000-2001 (notice the %1000 jump in cover price and a more up-to-date HM logo). As you can see, the Knockout Vee Stories title continued over the years, reaching to number 161 in this case, and still disavowed by the comics code. Simultaneously published in WTF? Comics which eventually sank them. Truly a rare item. If you don't believe me try finding a copy on Ebay.
(Actually I just wanted to go on to a different comic style.)
Whoa, thanks for the nice words, MsV, OCP and all (lotsa detail in that barcode too)! These are getting harder for me to do making up angles, using second hand source material and no models (hint hint). I hereby forfeit the 1 pix fishnet challenge as you and Wasmith take top honors there.
Notes for newcomers to co04's work: 1 - check out all of his work at HM (Manips; 2d drawings; Members); 2 - check out the detail on the lettering; 3 - check out the detail on the curtain and on the spotlight; 4 - find the things that make you go "huh". Other comments: co04 favors a particular body style (if you compare his other work). Wasmith and I would dare him to give Zat a pair of 1 pix fishnets... [Bottom line: it don't get no better than this - at HM or at DC]
