Hi there! Had this crazy ideia about doing a manip of one characther from each country in the world, at least the ones with it. I want to do comics related or "superheroish" characthers, already seach the web and so far my choisses are: Captain Canuck for Canada, Tenax for France, Captain or Major Brazil for Brazil and for the USA, well, must go with Captain America. My ideia is try to find a hero or superhero/heroine create and publish in each country. So if anyone out there want to sugest any, please do. I thank you for that. But if possible, with a link to that hero or some picture and if possible a bit of history about it. Maybe I'm asking too much, but, what the heck, maybe worth the try...

This is a really cool idea! Unfortunately I don't know many superheroes not created in America. Wiki has a small blurb on the subject with some links http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Superhero#Superheroes_outside_the_United_StatesI hope you can find enough to make a good series of these.

Hey OCP
Check out the first series of Stormwatch. I was reading through some of my old comics the other week and Stormwatch had characters from lots of different countries; Australia, Japan, Italy, Russia, Canada, Scotland, Israel... I can't remember tham all.

Thanx, Biohaz_Daddy , already added to the favorites in IE. Found some good ideias there. chillyplasma, I have that comic, but they are not a creation from the countries. I'm looking for characters create and publish in each country. That's the difficulty I have.
BRaZZZil, already got that link. My ideia of making this series came from there. It's a very cool site. Ah, se voc? me mandar um PM, dou-lhe o meu e-mail para a foto do Major Brazil. Obrigado.
Winterhawk, I know nothing about Captain Canuck. Only that it's a Canadian hero create and publish in Canada. If you have other sugestion, I thank you for it. Wolverine is my favorite characther, he is a canadian characther but not create in Canada and he is a Marvel publishing, so origin USA. Not related to Wolverine, but I had the same problem with the Indian Spiderman, looks like a cool character, but is a Marvel adaptation for the Indian market, not a Indian character.
Anyway, Thanx all for the sugestions and ideias. That's what I'm looking for: There are people from lots of places here, and if you are something like me, you get your hands in all the comics you can, at least the first issue to see what's about, especialy if it's one from your own country. Most of the superhero characters I know are from USA and UK, but I think there are lots more around the world.

Merci, monsier Cyanure. Votre sugestion c? tres bon, je fait comme ?a. Sorry, my french is a bit rusty, but I checked your sugestion and I will follow that. Never heard about that character before, but from what I could find out about him, it seems like a cool one. Merci beaucoup.

Thanx for the sugestion, and I would love to do Sabra sometime in the future but she dont fit for what I'm doing now. For Israel, I think I will go with Uri Oan, he's kind of a superspy/superman I found in Internationalhero site. Anyway, I would like to thank y'all in the site. You guys have been great since I joined Heromorph with your sugestions how to improve and helping me to make a better work. Your support makes me want to give the best I can in each new work I do. I really appreciate that. Thank you. Hey, WinterHawk, you convince me: No Captain Canuck for Canada

Thanx, WinterHawk! I'm considering do something similar for Mexico, A character I found hilarious but that is not your average bodybuilder superhero. I think you will like that. Oh yeah, and good luck in the Smackdown. I enjoy what you guys did in last one. I'm looking forward to see what you guys can came up this year.

OCP... If you're still looking for a Canadian superhero (besides Captain Canuck), you can try a character called Northguard. Here's a site you can go to for more info ( Northguard) You can also try The Northern Light. You can get more info on him and other Canadian heroes on the Government of Canada site ( Canadian Heroes)

I have never heard of any of these guys. I think the main problem is the comicbooks that are sold in stores here in canada are the exact same ones sold in stores in the USA. no difference, same release dates, same distributors. same creators, same companies, same language, everything.

While John Byrne (a Canadian artist and writer from Western Canada) was working on his (Canadian) Alpha Flight characters (which he introduced) for Marvel, here in Canada a contemporary hero Northguard was introduced. He was published throughout the 80's. These comics would be very difficult to find today.
