Wow... been away for a year and 3D dominates. Is there a place for a lowly manipper in the bunch anymore?

Hey Walley, Maniping is still strong around here, I don't do it as much because I found 3D to be a little faster to work with while taking care of my kids at home. But Welcome back

Walley! Damn nice to see you!
I think about manipping every day... I just don't do it. There are still a handful of mannipers here that are still producing work and impressing me. So... get to work!
Welcome back bud!

I don't think its dead. I still do manips and post here or there. Time has gotten tighter but I still find time to do one every now and again and post. I think that's the biggest thing, time, most use 3d because I think it is quicker? But not dead here I think.

I'd certainly love to create breakdowns or pencils for a manip artist who could take what I do to finish! :)

As I have stated in my post, it is because of the lack of time that I have not done a manip in a while

Ditto what Dark_Wanderer said. There are awesome tuts in the HMDC.

Check out this lot for starts...

HeroMorph Tutorials

I got started there, and am currently working on my return to manipping. Although I am quite rusty.

And for others out there who may like other media...
it's real easy to implement what you learn from these tuts to enhance 3D, 2D, and other works.
80% of all of my finished 3D stuff is heavily photoshopped with the techniques I've learned from some of the finest artists on this site.

Plus, in case you're into making money and stuff...I hear manipping is a great way to showcase your talents for commissions. Not that anyone here could use any money or anything...what with the booming world economy...
