I recently got the chance to see "The Amazing Spiderman 2" (a whole 2 weeks before the U.S. release! Thank you pirates.) and I've got to say, this was MUCH better than the first film and any of the Raimi Spiderman films. The battles and effects were...dare I say? Amazing. And while I was aprehensive about Jamie Foxx having any part in this film, he did a damned good job, so..bravo Foxx, bravo. And the Spidey suit? OH MUCH MUCH BETTER!

Green Goblin was introduced in a creative way but *SPOILER ALERT* Norman Osborne was never the Goblin?? Dafuq? And although the Rhino mech suit was kinda cool with it's hydraulics and spotty wields, I feel that this character had more potential to be more than just web fodder in a metal suit. Not a whole lot of justice done to the character.

We also get a deeper look into the lives of the Parkers before the events of the film.

Gwen dies. Wanna take a guess how? Well it's pretty close to how it happens in the comics... location is a bit different, but... it happens. So this opens the doors for MJ to be introduced.

Had a feeling that we would see the death of Gwen in this movie judging from the commercials. While I'm sorry to see her go so soon, since I thought Emma was purdy and did a fine job portraying her, hopefully it will not only lead to them bringing in MJ but actually getting her character RIGHT this time around.

I've seen Gwen's death in the movie on You Tube interesting to say I'm still trying to figure out if her neck snaps from web lash or does her head bounce off the floor and then neck snap... Guess I'll have to wait for the movie to hit DVD to see it clearer...

I saw the movie for a second time and I was looking at the same thing as you... but I think her neck brokes.

BTW: I was the first to hate the first spider costume when a I saw pictures of it before I watched the first movie, but I have to say I like it, and also the mask's lenses, but the classic costume is... well the classic costume!
