Much love, admiration, respect and best wishes to comic book legend Steve Ditko today on his 87th birthday!! Steve is best known as the co-creator of Marvel comics characters Spider-Man and Dr. Strange but that is merely the tip of the iceberg on the prolific and diverse resume of Mr. Ditko's work!

Personally, I feel I've done a disproportionate number of Ditko characters in my own pics as tribute to my love of his great characters! Here's just some examples from my gallery...

I don't know how many knew this but Ditko is a very private man, refusing to be photographed or filmed and rarely giving interviews. Consequently, there's not a lot of good info out there but this British documentary is worth the time and fairly entertaining:
