Thanks DB! Much appreciation for the feedback. I have received a few comments from folks suggesting that and while that was my own first instinct as well, I find that to me, it ends up making the FX overpower the other elements in the pic and not looking as well after having tried it. Actually, I just updated this, desaturating the character and background to help accentuate up the FX a bit in a more subtle manner.
