Re: POISON IVY Quote: wow, this is rendered? I thought it was some heavy-duty manip/painting... This piece was started in Poser and is primarily a render. However, I'm a strong believer that computers don't make art and that no render is finished. I always go back in to my renders and tweak stuff. In the case of this piece, her face was fixed up quite a bit because the Poser face was simply too scary to gaze upon - Poser's faces are not very attractive and way too many people leave them alone. Her hair and the vine are painted from scratch. The leaves were rendered individually and placed one at a time in photoshop, with the shadows adjusted appropriately. Items I didn't touch at all include her outfit (which rendered just as I wanted it), and the wall behind her (done in Vue and photoshopped in).

Re: POISON IVY Thanks all for the comments and support. I've been working on my 3D stuff for a long time and have finally reached a good mix of 3D modelling and postwork. Now, I just gotta get DC to see my pieces and hire me for covers... :)

Re: POISON IVY Very nicely done here! I think one of the best Ivy's I've seen here for quite some time. Very nice. It was well worth the time and sleepless nights here. Thanks for sharing.

Re: POISON IVY The hair looks much better. :) Thanks for taking the critique. Now she looks like Poison Ivy. Natural red is much better then fake, I did that with my Hawk Girl and all of my Jean Grey pics. Natural is always the best move. Perfect work.

Re: POISON IVY Quote: WOOW!! well every minute u spend on this one, was worth it. how did u made the suit? The suit is just a texture placed on the V4 Bodysuit, plus a transparency. I used a photo of a green bodice for the center part of the texture, and layered pictures of leaves for the sides.

Re: POISON IVY Her hair color has come up a few times. I may tweak it tonight and add a little more red, but I don't want it to look artificial or dyed. Of course, if DC wants the piece, I'll make any change they want *EDIT* - Made the hair redder. I admit it looks better.
