I don't often visit the 3D gallery, but perhaps I should start doing so. In fact I should probably get back into Maya where I left off.

Having said that, I just wanted to mention that this post is very moving and inspirational. It is a testament to and a reminder of those who work to guarantee our freedoms--not lawyers, not loud-mouthed politicians--but our men and women in uniform. It is they who defend the rest us so that we can maintain our rights to make our little posts here and elsewhere, from those who would be perfectly happy to take those rights away. We create our own interpretations of superheroes, but a sobering moment like this reminds us who the real heroes are.

--And MasterChief, up until now I didn't know your story. But now that I do I just want to say thank you for what you and the rest are doing. I've been to the Middle East myself, and I can tell you that just being a tourist there is hard work.

This is amazing in more ways then one would think, I have the most respect for you raddar you are a true artist and in my eyes a hero aswell becuse of your path in life your fighting the frontlines, defending and upholding the rights and lives of us all. I cant say this enough stay safe buddy, with the most respect CHEERs.

World War 2 was the last time America buried her sons and daughters on foreign ground. This practice has since been discarded, as the belief goes men and women who fell defending America?s freedom should be accorded the highest honor and buried on her soil.

However, there is a practice we use to honor the spirits of those who died while on foreign soil. This tradition is for the healing process of the troops and friends of comrades who fell. A pair of boots is placed at a 45-degree angle, the same angle your feet rest at the position of attention. A rifle?having been rendered useless (an M-16A2 these days)?is driven, barrel-first, between the boots. On the butt of the rifle, a helmet is balanced, tilted downward. And finally, a set of dog tags is draped on the rifle below the helmet. These dog tags are ultimately the ones returned to the family, with his/her personal affects and an American flag that proudly rested on the coffin. A chaplain of the faith gives a message and a prayer. The troops salute the fallen and ?Taps? is played.

Usually, a gun salute is not given until on American soil. The boots, rifle, helmet, and dog tags are left for a brief period of time, so that the troops can reflect. We should honor the memory of the men and women who died for this great nation. Please take one moment and reflect on the cost.

And to the spirits of the Fallen, know this?America thanks you.

Phenomenal Tribute Raddar!

Thanks Radder, this is one of the most moving things Ihave seen AND read in a while. I came over here to do a job, and it has turned into a life changing experiance for me. No matter what you think of the politics, these men and women are putting it on the line day in and day out to give people they don't know the chance to have the freedoms that we take for granted. Take the time to thank them for what they do, that meens more to them then anything, trust me I know, I see it when they gt a card from someone they don't know thanking them. I have watched their faces light up in airports when I shake their hands and tell them that they are hero's.

Once again Radder, THANK YOU!! You honor me and all those who are here with this.
