| IGFW Database 377265 Canine (Dog): Known as "Man's best friend" Canines are still kept as pets in many Solaran households. These animals are considered highly intelligent and come in dozens of different breeds and can often be found in some workplaces as more than a simple mascot. They are often fiercely loyal but can be rather territorial. A well-trained dog can be a formidable adversary in combat and many have been bred for just such a purpose. War dogs are battle-hardened against gunfire and explosions and place the safety of their handler above their own. Their powerful senses have even made them candidates for Genetic engineering though current law (due to treaties with the Lunari) prohibits artificially evolving them into feraloids. War dogs are, however, far larger than their civilian counterparts. |
