Re: EC Sci FI Tribute Thanks, Hawk... actually, atmospheric effects are one of the real strengths of Bryce that I don't take advantage of enough so I decided to play with it a little more on this one. Thanks, Haz... I feel like I'm always struggling against my 3D render programs' imposed styles so I'm very pleased to hear that the work retains it's uniqueness!

Re: EC Sci FI Tribute Thanks again, Ubald. Actually this isn't the first time I've gotten caught up the little details and missed some larger mistake in my work so I'm not that embarrassed. Please, please DO NOT feel any need to tread lightly around me. I do not require "soft" reviews at all and I appreciate honesty. If you see something I missed or might have done better, absolutely let me know. Thanks, 'Dack! Actually, I suppose this could almost be an image for The Sound of Thunder, a Bradbury story about a time traveling safari from the future where one traveler panics and steps off the "path" causing history to be re-written. It was adapted by EC in issue #25 of Weird Science-Fantasy and gorgeously illustrated by Al Williamson's studio, which was some of the reference material I used when making this. BTW, nice Bradbury quote!

Re: EC Sci FI Tribute WoW,it's like one of those Sci-Fi story from Ray Bradbury! "Stuff your eyes with wonder. Live as if you'd drop dead in ten seconds. See the world. It's more fantastic than any dream made up or paid for in factories." -Ray Bradbury

Re: EC Sci FI Tribute Hey pijon, Im sorry I didnt want to embarrase you The Image is fantastic!, and I think maybe the shadows threw me off on the ray-traceing. I realy try not to say anything, as like your work every artist has there own style, and a Great style you have, however Ive seen some artist leave sites do to comments (not saying you would) but thats why I realy try to choose my words carefully. I still like the Image alot!,and Im looking forward to more,.CHEERs

Re: EC Sci FI Tribute Thanks, Monkey! I'm glad the retro comes across! Thanks, Ubald... D'oh! Totally right about me missing the shadows here, I'm a little embarrassed on that one, I think that's the first time I've ever made that mistake. I'm not sure I'm following you about the raytracing not going all the way back , I think the trees behind the dino are ray traced. It's clear that you're one of the most technically and artistically skilled folks around so I totally believe you, just please pardon my ignorance as I may require extra explaining though I am willing to listen and learn.

Re: EC Sci FI Tribute Very nice Image, however I have one comment: the POV is fantastic and you have some very nice ray-trace going on however, its not going through the full Image? it kind of stops at the Rex. As well there is a need for shadows, I think this is a great Image and sorry there are two comments. Welcome!, I look forward to seeing some more of your work, and good luck on your computer issues CHEERs.

Re: EC Sci FI Tribute Thanks everybody for the kind words and warm welcome! This is my first post over here at HM so I'm still getting to know my way around. Oh, yeah, Daruma... that certainly is a big perk not having shrink stuff!! ... and for exactly that reason, I'll probably be posting the full sized versions of my pics here from now on so you'll probably be seeing me around here more, Voltron.
