He's based on an rp character that was in turn based on Yun from the Jedi Knight game.

Y'know. I used to read a comicbook by Dark Horse Presents called Tales of a Jedi Knight. I really liked how the comic would bounce from one no name jedi to another, all across the galaxy, telling a variety of stories.
