Drew Barrymore as Harley Quinn, my favourite character.
This was my first manip ever. Please keep that in mind as you look at it! Personally, I look back at it now and wince... but I thought I'd post it for comparison purposes, since one of the other pieces I'm posting was a redo of this one. Sort of.
I basically just painted over everything, no proper techniques or anything. Just loads and loads of smudging.
'Hawk: Yes, I know it's good for a debut. (It even got the Front Page at C2F, thus starting my FP addiction.) But it still makes me wince, cause when I look at it all I can see is the problems... I seem to have that same problem with most of my early work, with a handful of exceptions. Just the perfectionist in me, I guess...
you know as a first manip this is definatly kick ass. Yes, compared to your stuff now this is not very good at all, but as a first manip this is fantastic. First off you put in the entire costume and you had details (like wrinkles etc.), most first timers modify the costume to make it easier and never bother with the details. I think it was obvious that you were going to rock right from the start.
