Re: Dead Girl Thanks, 'Hawk. You nail the exact reason why this was my favourite of my own work for so long... everything works. Good costuming (mostly), appropriate pose, appropriate background. I've rarely created something where all the elements mesh so well.

Re: Dead Girl Hey B, This is tied as one of my favorites of all the work you have done so far. Glad to see you post here. Welcome. This picture really is a great example of how to set a mood. Every pixel in this picture is pointing to the same creepy dark mood. The background is perfect for this picture, I have notice in a lot of other pictures (mine included) that the figure and the background don't always seem to match quite as well as they do here, But in this picture the background matches the character in both mood and texture. The pose of the model is also perfect. Top notch all the way man. Good stuff.

Re: Dead Girl Thanks, all. She's a character from the (awesome) series X-Statix, BTW, for those that didn't recognize her. Great series -- and a finite one as well, and thus relatively easy to get into.
kallisti -- I think there's some damn fine artists here. That's why I've finally decided to join! People like BA, Optical, Winterhawk, DK, and many others are all great artists, some of the best manippers I've seen. I'm still a C2F boy at heart (and will probably be more active there than here.. there's only so many hours in the day, after all!), but I'm happy to be a member of both sites.

Re: Dead Girl it's certainly got a creepy quality to it, just the way she is looking at the viewer and the fact that she's called dead-girl. i never read these comics so i'm quite ignorant of her background but i do like the pic.
and welcome to Heromorph!
