I did this after a fellow artist (and good friend) at C2F asked me for more X-Statix pics. This was a couple months after Dead Girl.
Alyssa Milano's head on a nude model's body. Costuming done the usual way, generic Roman-type background done in Bryce and smudged.
This is okay, but not as good as Dead Girl. The nose and neck are wonky, the background's too generic, and it's too smudgy in spots (even by my standards). I also should have made the energy brighter.
I agree with you about the head and neck being a little off, but I disagree about the energy needing to be brighter, I think the background is all wrong for this character, Looking at her she is bright and colourful. I think the Image would have been improved upon by having a brighter more colourful background, Such as the sunrise of a beach or something like that. Anyway just a thought, I still quite like this peice. Good Job, Man.
Dragondack -- you mean that you dislike the casting? Or that you can't tell its Alyssa? I did alter her a lot, I guess she's somewhat unrecognizeable. As for the casting... it's mostly cause of the hair, I usually cast for appearance more than for performance.
kallisti -- I tend to be really critical of my work, particularly the early ones. Honestly, if I look at this now (and this is true for a lot of my work), all I can see is the faults. I objectively know it's good, but I still only see the faults.
geez, dude! give _us_ a chance to 'dis your work before you do! haha. looks good, i see what you mean about the neck. headswaps are hard to pull off well. that's why i do manips instead of fake celebrity porn!
