Re: Songbird B... this is awesome, I don't know how I didn't comment in this one before.
The face, the costume are great...But the flying scene is the best!

Re: Songbird One of my favourite manips. Love T-Bolts. When I read issue #1 I had heard nothing about the series & the ending was a complete surprise to me. That twist plus Mark Bagley art made Thunderbolts a must buy.

Re: Songbird Awesome work B even though the face doesn't really seem to fit, I know this sounds stupid, but I dunno, it kind of looks like this kick ass pic is wearing a Dido mask of cardboard or something. The pic is so great though that isn't even that much of an issue. :good: :good:

Re: Songbird Thanks for the comments, guys. In no particular order... Blur: It's really just standard dodge & burn and color balance to recolour. That's literally the only things that went into the costume itself. For the seams I used paths (put them were the seams should be, stroke a few times with a 2 pixel dodge tool, move a couple pixels, stroke a few times with a 2 pixel burn tool -- anyone who's had trouble with the things, this is the way to do them). The metal is according to DPerceful's excellent tutorial at C2F. Thayne: The original base model was very skinny. I figure it fits the character... I mean, just take a look at how thin Mark Bagley's version of her in the original Thunderbolts series is. Max and DW: The shoulder pads... well, you're right, sort of. The idea is that they extend equally far down the back as they down the front, but now I see that I should have changed their shape slightly to indicate that. Thanks for pointing out the problem, guys. Just Max: Nope, I haven't been working with anyone else, just experimenting. In an odd and related story, when I showed this to Zac of C2F, the first thing he asked me was who did it for me... Just DW: Yeah, the belt is missing a bottom edge. Oops. The buckle and the belt itself are always drawn as being one piece, though, so I followed suit. Now, I distinctly see that some people haven't commented yet... c'mon, what're you waiting for?

Re: Songbird Hot damn! That's one good looking Songbird! Just have to agree with the others: her costume looks great! Wonderful work on the fabric. Also like the power-effect. And the pose.

Re: Songbird Only thing I have to nitpick is the shoulder pads, like stated look too forward almost like they are attached too losly and rolled around her arms a bit. for a personal taste, the belt looks like there needs to me more of a sepration between belt and bukle ( make since?) and on her left, the uderside of the belt needs a bit of an edge to show the thinkess a little. but that was straining to find something wrong with it great work

Re: Songbird Very nice. Great fabric. Different from your usual - been working with someone else?
My only niggle with this is the shoulder pad on her left arm seems to be angled forward too much, it's almost in her armpit.
Two thumbs up.

Re: Songbird Excellent job B. This was well worth the wait. Love the way you recreated her wings and the rubber feel of the costume. And the shoulder fins came out great!
