It's a little of everything including Poser and photos. There is no way to get to that level of exaggerated figure in Poser, so it is heavily altered in Photoshop and Painter. The penguin, snow and goggles are copped from photographs.

Actually I have read this comic once before. Thought it was pretty funny. This is an ultracool rendition of the character.
