before you let Jr and BB get to you. Spend some time working on your forms. If you take everything you've done right now and merge it to one layer, then set that layer to overlay. Add a layer beneath the color layer and start adding different shades of grey/black/white to define the shapes of muscles and all that. It will make your character pop out more and it may also clear up Jr and BB's confusion.

First of all, good on ya! I like this a lot.

Second of all, I think Jr.'s right, or at least I see a gradient running from top left to bottom right. Or a variation of that. Who cares? I like this, lets see more!

Fraid I gotta disagree. There IS some subtle variation in tone from what I see. And while it's not "gold" type colouring, it's a good example of "bronze" or maybe "silver" type and there's nothing wrong with that.

After all, we read "bronze" type colouring all the time pre-computer colouring.

Alright BHM... this image is all one color. You need to add some shading to it to define the female... or should I say Feline form. She is flat right now. YOU need to roud her out. Also, i know that a lot of characters have teh same color hair as body... but I alway make it a tab bit darker than the rest of their body. I mean, it is more dense and would just automatically be darker. And if not... at least your image doesnt come out monochromatic.

Give it a shot...
