Re: April B&W Postcard Art Indeed, co, the first thing I had in my head when i saw this piece was that nursery rhyme...even before reading your prose and seeing the clock! Very well done...or at least evenly baked. I like April's blonde look, too. (thus a great reference to Dinah, with whom I'd LOVE to be in the kitchen, or any other room in the house if'n she looked like this pastry chef! The pucker pose is great for this, too! Wow...I could go on and on, but everyone else said it best! This is definitely one "Dainty Dish" to set before the king, or anyone! (And the pie looks tasty too!)

Re: April B&W Postcard Art Thanks you guys! When I cooked up this one (heh! heh!) I could only see it in my mind as black and white. Could be interesting how it colors up. Actually, the kitchen is Italian (Tuscan I think). The wine is Fess Parker. Thanks for noticing the black underwear, MissVee, I knew it wouldn't get past you. (...And thanks for your order too!)

Re: April B&W Postcard Art I think you nailed everything on this one: French kitchen; wine; pots & pans; hot mitt; hair; clock etc. (my only suggestion for April would be to have a pot burning up in the background). Oh -- and I don't think we can tell whether she is wearing any black underwear...
(I ordered #2)

Re: April B&W Postcard Art CO you know I am a big fan of your work, but this is above and beyond anything you have done before. Your colors are great but your B&W is off the charts. I am getting a Jayne Mansfield vibe from this one, if she was brunette you got Rita Hayward.
Just a classic pinup.
Your best yet.
