Re: Abyss 3 Abyss is a character I started messing with years ago. It was about the time in Marvel Comics that Graydon Creed was running for president. I wanted to dig into his hatred for mutants. We all know he hates his parents, but a lot of people do. I wanted him to have a deeper reason.
When Graydon was just a teenager he fell in love with a servant of a senator. When she came up pregnant, she left Graydon, never telling him. He was heartbroken and eventually found out she had returned to her home planet of Dylana (a water planet).
What really happened was that the senator had bought Graydon???s love and when she refused to bed him, he sold her to another Washington connection. When she birthed Abyss, the baby was taken from her. The mother died of heartbreak.
Graydon has no idea he has a daughter.
When she enters seawater, gills form on her neck allowing her to breath. She had webbed fingers and toes, allowing her to swim at 15 mph. Abyss also uses echolocation to help her ???hear??? underwater. She also has a protective eyelid like sharks.
