history: raised in america with her ideals [truth & justice] young [name with held because i haven't named him yet] never left the continental united states. his parents were from puerto rico and moved to the states because the opportunities were better. he's a modern puerto rican / american, in that he doesn't know spanish and doesn't want to know spanish. he followed captain america's career closely and even joined the military [u.s. airforce]. he then heard of the new super soldier program and signed up. he was in with 10 other men and was 1 of the 5 who actually made it through as a new breed of super soldier [the 2nd captain america, battle star, right winger and left winger were the other 4 who became super soldiers]. in a fit of sarcastic anger, he came up with "el borinque" because he was, once again, arguing that he's not puerto rican, he's american. the general in charged thought it was clever and would catch on. since then, el borinque was ordered to learn spanish and has become an iconic symbol for the spanish speakers of america [even though he loaths it]. el borinque is a member of s.h.i.e.l.d. and works along side the ultimates when needed. however, one of his primary missioins is to keep the group of super powers in check and report directly to the president of the united states.
