in light of the rising threat of the kree, the skrulls have comissioned 500 super skrulls.  the tides have turned in their favor until galactus showed up to eat the skrull planet.  375 super skrulls were wiped out before 1 of them agreed to be his newest herald.  the man is now the Cosmic Skrull, and the woman is one of the surviving Super Skrulls.
