"You can?t live until you die
You can?t learn to tell the truth
Until you learn to lie

You can?t breathe until you choke
You gotta laugh when you?re the joke
There?s nothing like a funeral to make you feel alive

Just open your eyes
And see that life is beautiful.
Will you swear on your life,
That no one will cry at my funeral?

I know some things that you don?t
You can?t quit until you try
I?ve done things that you won?t
There?s nothing like a trail of blood
to find your way back home

I was waiting for my hearse
What came next was so much worse
It took a funeral to make me feel alive

Just open your eyes
And see that life is beautiful.
Will you swear on your life,
That no one will cry at my funeral?"

In many ways these lyrics made this render.  I guess it is always darkest before the dawn, but waiting for the dawn has become very exhausting.  This is one of the more darker pieces that I have done, not like the pin ups I have been doing.  I guess it is true when they say that art comes from the soul.

I agree, the lyrics set the tone for this picture. The picture is dark and moody and fantastic, a 10.

This is a bit of a departure for you, is something going on over there that we should know about? Or did you just feel like doing something different?

I like how the lyrics set a mood for the picture. And someday I'd love to see you come back and take another shot at this. Don't get me wrong, it is very good as it stands. But there's a potential there that I'd love to see attacked in the future.

Thanks Wolf I love that book, so I know what quote you are talking about and I think you have it pretty close. That was probably the best compliment you could have given me. Thank you.

In the novel, "Run Silent, Run Deep", Commodore Blunt is having to tell Commander Richardson that old boat, Walrus, is 'gone'. I don't have the book handy ( Me VERY bad ), but, it states that:

The grave of the Warrior is the holiest of places...for the Warrior doe not die for this reason or that reason...BUT FOR AN IDEAL...A DREAM...and who are we, those He fought for, to say whether or not it was right or it was wrong? A Warrior's death is the most NOBLE of Deaths...for it is the Ultimate Sacrifice, for the Ultimate Dream

It's been a long while since I've read the book...but, after seeing this magnum opus, and the lyrics that acompany it...I don't think I can say it any better.
