Re: Armoured Angel Lace:The Animated Series My contribution to another sites Cartoon Franchise contest- which apparently doesn't yet have it's own album, so I can't upload it there just yet. I guess I work faster then most folks. Then again, I have less life then most folks, so...it's a tradeoff, I guess.
Anyhow, my idea.
"Amethyst Bay used to be such a nice town, not too big, not too small. Mall's nice, soccer team doesn't all-out suck, and the beach is pretty choice. But then two years ago, the army came in, started pushing everyone around. Now there's this rancid curfew, the town's all but dried up, and nobody will tell us why. Now we hear this rumour about an alien attack wiping out most of the country, and the army's fallen back to Amethyst, home of the country's top military supplier, Rossen-Snide Industries. But not everyone believes the hype. Like this one lady, Dr. Astrid Martinne. She thought something else was going on, something at Rossen-Snide, and she made this wicked-cool suit of armour to find the truth. But she's gone now, and I have the armour. Now I have to find out what's really going on; but between school, life, and trying to pass my driver's test, saving the world is going to be a little tricky."
And from left to right, we've got:
Lace Cordonne, 17 year-old soccer enthusiast, Kill Hannah fan-girl, and songwriting-hobbyist, and the one who found the ANGEL armour after a rather humiliating night on the town with her so-called "friends". She'd rather be hanging with her friends giggling like an idiot over boys, except she's not some bubble-headed bimbo, and she hates people like that. Still, saving the world is certainly not on her bucket-list.
ANGEL, the Ambulatory Neurolytic Gyroscopic ExomuscuLar Array, Lace's eleven foot tall suit of powered armour. Officially, Rossen-Snide claims that ANGEL is a prototype military weapon meant to fight the alleged aliens, and the mysterious person, or "mechanaut", piloting it is merely a thief, a saboteur, and a traitor.
Roxanne Cordonne, Lace's long-suffering big sister and legal guardian. She works as Chief of Security at Rossen-Snide, and is promoted to the company's private army after the ANGEL makes and appearance. She is tasked with retaking the armour, and is outfitted with whatever weapons she needs.
Jessipher Darwin Viper, the Current CEO of Rossen-Snide, a former chess champion and professional boxer who fought and hustled his way through college. He has a mean streak a mile long, and an agenda that does not bode well for the rest of the world.
Alix Viper, JD's bratty fashionista daughter, a spoiled little girl who made the covers of magazines as a teen supermodel. Despite her attitude, she and Lace are pretty good friends. But still, sometimes more of her father shows through then a sane person would like to see.
Dr. Astrid Martinne, ANGEL's creator, a former researcher at Rossen-Snide, and currently a missing person. She only shows up in Lace's life via the tutorial videos ANGEL plays at the most inopprotune moments, like in the middle of a fight.
Leopold Crisken, the field commander of a specially trained anti-alien task force. At first he views ANGEL as a troublemaker, but when an "alien" raises hell on campus and ANGEL beats it down, his attitude begins to change.
