Hi! This is my first-ever posting here on Heromorph. My name is JINKY CORONADO. I've been a model (twice!) in FHM Philippines, plus I've had a couple of calendars devoted to me, and I've been showcased in Femme Fatales and elsewhere.
BUT...mostly, I'm an artist and writer. I've been doing a full-color comicbook series I created, BANZAI GIRL and its sequel BANZAI GIRLS, for awhile now. I write it, I draw it, I'm the main character, and I'm even in a schoolgirl uniform as the main character on the photo variant covers.
I discovered Heromorph today and wanted to be a part of it, so I'm starting off with one of my favorites. This illustration starts off with a real photo of me, in the BANZAI GIRL uniform. I did the base drawing, then I was photographed by Don Feenerty. Then Eugene Perez, and Edwin David, jumped in and finished the rendering for me. (Most of my future pieces will be 2D and my line art.)
In the Philippines where I was born (though I live in the USA now), there's a local legend of a Snakeman that lives beneath the Robinson's Galleria mall, which travels through secret tunnel ans trap doors, attacking and consuming young women who've gone in to dressing rooms to try on clothes. In BANZAI GIRL, it's one of the Filipino myths I take on. Here's our depiction of the Snakeman and myself as Banzai Girl, brought to life. Thoughts, please?
Outstanding piece and welcome to Heromorph, Jinky! You are as talented as you are lovely. I think your work's a perfect fit for Heromorph. I look forward to seeing your line art as well because the art in Banzai Girls looks terrific. Looking forward to seeing more!
