-Japanese flowering cherry.
Cherry blossoms are an enduring metaphor for the fleeting nature of life.
The Cherry blossom is also an emblem of love, affection and represents spring.

Then again, that would be too obvious. And a novel...from me...NO WAY! I always keep the prose in my descriptions short and to the point. Just look at any of my other stuff...wait...who am I trying to kid. I talk too much. I'll shut up now. Thanks to everyone for looking.
