Original characters from the ongoing saga of my comic book The AntiSocial Man.
Although I created the character in 1995, I finally had opportunity to produce this group pic in 2008 for GraphicMouse website's DrawOff contest - "Temporal characters".
Here is a 'brief' story description:
In a startlingly close future, civilisation crumbles beneath the weight of its own decay. Crime and civil unrest have become beyond the world's governments' abilities to maintain or control, leading them to seek a new option to police their society and enforce their rule. A team of elite scientists are assembled and through experimental genetic engineering set about creation of the first 'Neo-Human" - an example of man's evolutionary peak. "The Solution" to the world's problems.
The governments now had they're own personal one-man army, and "The Solution" as he was aptly dubbed, found fulfilment in his preconcieved fate as the world's saviour. But soon enough The Solution became the new problem for the world's leaders - and he was betrayed. Fearing the power and public poplularity of their creation, these leaders of men convicted The Solution of a variety of invented crimes, encasing him in a function-built prison cell deep underground - without the possiblity for parole.
Decades later, reborn in his solitudal turmoil as The AntiSocial Man, he breaks free of his cage and climbs to the surface to make his return, and gain his revenge. When AntiSocial Man rises however, he quickly discovers an entirely different Earth to the one he knew. The time of man has ended, apparent victims of themselves. Buildings fall into ruin, as nature reasserts a powerful stranglehold on the remains of human civilisation.
While hunting the plague proportions of monstrous animal mutations which infest the rubble of the cities, ASM is suddenly engulfed in an eerie green glow as temporal energy absorbs him and The AntiSocial Man is flung through time. ASM awakens in the far-distant future, surrounded by strange oddly-constructed robotic creatures and is informed he has an entirely different, completely unexpected fate.
During this time AntiSocial Man discovers burgeoning new time-manipulation abilities - which have resulted from his initial interaction with the temporal energies. The nature of ASM's genetic advancements enable his body to adjust to and evolve past almost anything he encounters - and this effect has enabled him to retain vast amounts of temporal force from his time-travel experience. These new powers soon attract the interest of an organised team of timeline enforcers desperate to recruit AntiSocial Man to assist them in their efforts to stand against a phenomenal threat to the universe.
And that's the short version.

Thanks Fin! Nice of you to say.

Pij, I've missed ya mate! Where else can I get a critique as well-written - or as positive?
I do so appreciate the feedback. Cheers bud.
The subject of the Draw-Off in question was courtesy of you as I recall Pij, so some credit for this pic definately has to go your way too.

I still remember when I first saw this a few years ago and I am no less blown away after all this time by the brilliant quality of your image, characters and storyline. I know I really haven't continued to pester you to do this as a damned comic as much as I'd planned but well... you know! I really think you've got the skills and such a weird original take on things, that it could go quite far. Anyway... absolutely outstanding!!!
