this is a variation based on the demon ninja arc from the old x-men comics

"Kathrine pryde was born to missionaries in japan,orphaned at 10 years of age due to a traffic accident near mount Fuji she was found and adopted by a clan of demon ninja whom soon learned of her special abilities to pass through solid objects at will, at the age of 18 her ninja training complete she left to return to her family in America yet continues her activities for the organization X as a expert in stealth recon and assassinations to protect the helpless and poverty afflicted people of Bridgeport Connecticut as shadowcat"
