Danny thought Buddy was going to change into something sexy (as a prelude to sex) but instead she changed into her regular sleeping clothes (as a prelude to chilling out on the couch eating ice cream and watching TV before bed). Buddy telling him that she was going to change into 'something more comfortable' was supposed to be the end of the date.

This confuses me.

Opening panel we see her asking if he minds she could slip into something more comfortable. This is fine as it opens up to getting out of dress cloths into something more relaxing to just be able to hang out. My issue is the last panel in which she is surprised to see him still there when she comes out ready for bed.

Would it not have simply ended with her telling him she had a good time?
