Holy crap, that's awesome!
Well, I see someone has been studying their Isi!
He is one of my personal favorites among 3D artists and his formula for success is one of the best I've seen. That hot colors on one side, cool on the other, left and right lighting and bombastic special FX are exactly what I'm talking about and you have used that technique VERY effectively to create a colorful and engaging picture all your own! It is good to see you implementing PS brush FX in your work. I think it's an important step that will allow you to expand on the already great stuff you've been doing.
I was unfamiliar with the WoW character til you presented this. Although your wizard is by no means "run of the mill", I would say he does follow a certain Thulsa Doom type classical style (which is a GREAT thing, BTW!).
Your work is excellent and this is a compelling piece that shows you expanding on your great work and moving in some exciting new directions but I hope it's not a problem for me to point out some errors too. For something this good, I would probably skip it when critiqueing a lesser artist but I'm hoping my observations might be helpful to an artist continually on the rise like yourself.
First, the lower part of his robe seems inconsistent in the way it lands around his hips and stomach, looking more poke-thru's I feel that for such a cool, high powered staff that it would be more effective to show him gripping it tightly rather than so loosely to portray that power. The arm gripping the staff looks like it's in a jui-jitsu armlock too with the shoulder pressed forward and forearm bent outward, which would be both uncomfortable and unnatural. Those straight thin blue lines seem a bit odd too but minor nits aside, I think you've done an awesome job here! Great work!!
