now that is an awesome coinsidence that we have the same inspiration.i had the privelege to meet boris and julie a few years ago and get some autographs and the advice 'just do it' when i asked how it was to work with oil paints.
my calendar will be available over at deviantart if i can mention them here.i'm pretty undecided at the moment which twelve i'd want to use so i think i might put out some kind of vote.especially since i am constantly creating new images that i think are better. i'll keep you infoed for sure. thanks for your interest :D

You just named three of my all time favorite artists there. Mr. Vallejo, Ms. Bell, and Mr. Ross have often inspired me.
And if you get the chance to share any of the calendar, I'm sure I'm not the only one who'd love to see it...
that is, unless you can't because it's commission work for which you are being paid - preferably an extremely large amount which requires copyright properties forbidding you from sharing...
which would still be less than your art work is worth...

thanks guys :D the honor is mine drunkendragon ...hahaha well said and accepted...funny thing is i own tons of cards sports and nonsport and a bunch of portfolio books from various artists.i've spent hours over the years studying them.boris vallejo,julie bell,alex ross,and the brothers hildebrandt ,to name a few, did a lot of marvel cards back in the day. so yeah that's where my inspiration comes from.i haven't done a lot of marvel characters though.
when i do these heroes i try to envision their characteristics,powers,abilities etc.then add little touches to set my work apart from what's already out there all while staying true to what makes them iconic.
anyhoo i'm working on a calendar as we speak.if the chance comes i'd love to make a card set too.we'll see.

WOW! This is would make a great poster! It's so colorful has a great sense of power! I am tickled by the fact that this was my least expected version of her costume to see and you've really made it work perfectly as she really looks lovely and makes for some amazing eyecandy! Excellent!
