So, here's an example of what I'm getting with using FaceApp to improve characters I originally created in Daz. I used the face map function to take Jen's face from a render that had a good view of her looking forward (by mapping it onto a simple neutral-expression headshot of the actress I originally modeled her face shape after), then use that as a template to map onto the renders I want to improve. I try face map, morph, and light morph, and see which looks best of the three. I then use the hair style options to add a little volume and wave to the hair, as the neural net generated hair looks more realistic than most Daz/Poser hair. As you can see, it can give a much more natural look!
Unfortunately FaceApp is subscription-based, but the price isn't huge. I do wish they had a PC version, though, so I wouldn't have to move files back and forth between my PC and iPad to do it! |
